The United States sells weapons to their NATO allies in Europe so they can provide them with Ukraine as it struggles to defend a recent climb in Russian missile attacks, said President Donald Trump and his main diplomatic.
“We are sending weapons to NATO and NATO pays these weapons, 100%,” Trump said in an interview with NBC on Thursday afternoon. “What we do is that the weapons coming out go to NATO, and NATO will give these weapons (to Ukraine) and NATO pays these weapons.”
Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, said on Friday that some of the weapons made in the United States that Ukraine seeks to unfold with NATO allies in Europe. These weapons could be transferred to Ukraine, and European countries bought replacement from the United States, he said.
“It is much faster to move something, for example, from Germany to Ukraine than to order it from a factory (USA) and to get it there,” Rubio told journalists during a visit to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Ukraine needs much more air defense systems of Patriot Air Fabat to stop the Russian ballistic missiles and cruises.
