Kelli Ferrell’s Ex-Husband Sues Bravo for $200 Million Over ‘Fake Up’ RHOA Storyline and Defamation Claims

Court documents obtained by TMZ, Chuvalo accuse it Kelly falsely portrayed him as abusive and financially dishonest during his appearance on the show. He claims the narrative that he “stole” money from him is completely false – and producers know it.

Chuvalo insisted he and Kelly together applied for a $420,000 loan in 2022 to expand their restaurant, Nana’s Chicken-n-Waffles, but that Kelly misused funds on “her birthday and other unauthorized expenses.” According to him, the loan has not been repaid recently Kelly continues to tell viewers that he “stole” the money.

The lawsuit also alleges RHOA defamation cast member, claiming cast members could be heard on camera calling him a “criminal, abuser, and cheater.” Chuvalo said producers broadcast these claims “knowing they were false,” and as a result, he suffered irreparable damage to his personal and professional reputation — to the tune of $100 million.

But that’s not the end of it. Chuvalo Mark Ferrell is seeking an additional $100 million in damages, bringing its total lawsuit to $200 million, accusing the network of acting with “reckless disregard for the truth.” At a fiery courthouse press conference on September 2, Chuvalo lashed out at his ex-wife and her network. “The truth is, Kelli didn’t want closure. She wanted to disappoint me,” he said. “Because without that storyline, he loses his platform. And Bravo, your hands are not clean.”

He continued, “You gave airtime to lies you knew were indefensible. You put my daughter on national TV without my permission. You built a storyline to destroy my name for entertainment. This is defamation. It will not stand.”

Chuvalo went on to claim that the situation cost him more than just his reputation. “Every penny was returned by December 2022 – but in January 2024, I spent more than 40 days in jail while my ex-wife and her lawyer told the court the money was never repaid,” he said. “This is false imprisonment. This is fraud.” He also accused Kelly and his team pocketed the funds they were entitled to. “I watched my name be dragged through the mud, my business stolen, my home confiscated, my children kept secret, and my self-esteem attacked,” he said. “The reality is simple: what happened to me was not justice, but rather an abuse of power.”

Chuvalo’s the press conference took a political turn when he stated, “This is not just one man’s fight. This is a case that raises national questions about judicial accountability, abuse of power, racial bias in family courts, and the influence of entertainment media on the legal process.”

Kelly And Chuvalo Mark Ferrell finalized their divorce in 2025, following the tumultuous split that ensued Kelly primary custody of their three children and was ordered Chuvalo to pay nearly $4,000 a month in child support and cover the children’s health insurance. Meanwhile, Kelly still facing his own court drama.

On October 2, he filed an emergency petition Chuvalo interfere with their children’s participation in filming Real Housewives of Atlanta. The filing noted that he was given final decision-making authority over the children’s extracurricular activities, including filmmaking. Kelly have since registered it RHOA costar Phaedra Park, a licensed attorney, to represent him in the case.
