Following an intensive search, German police detained a suspect in a Friday attack stabbed in the iconic Berlin Holocaust Memorial, which was seriously injured by a person.

The expansive memorial, described as a “place of memory and warning” of Berlin Tourism WebsiteIt covers more than four and a half hectares and contains 2,711 concrete slabs of different heights.
The attack occurs when the Germans are preparing to vote in the parliamentary elections on Sunday, which can remodel the country’s political landscape. The frustration of the stagnant economy of Germany and the dissatisfaction with immigration have promoted the far right party of Germany, the alternative for Germany or AFD, elevated to the polls.
The AFD party, related to neo -Nazis, has promised to stop migration and deport immigrants.
During the last year, Germany has supported a number of attacks that are seemingly unrelated to Afghanistan immigrants and the Middle East.
Last week, an Asylum seeker from Afghanistan crashed a car to a union demonstration in Munich, injuring dozens in the city, where world figures had been met for a security conference.
And in December, a Saudi Arabic citizen plowed his car through a Christmas market in Magdeburg, killing six people and hurt hundreds.
