Lately I’ve been training about 2 hours a day, mostly cycling, but also strength training and PT for my back and hips. My body seems to tolerate it pretty well and I feel great.
Some memorable rides include last Tuesday when my group and I rode to the end of Sequoia Retreat Road and back, Posted here On Strava. Then on Sunday, I did a tough workout that included upper body strength training and conditioning, then a brisk ride along the Coyote Creek Trail to Bernal Road, turning onto the Montreal Highway on the way back. I also put in some hard intervals. It felt good at the time, but then I was tired, so I took it easy yesterday.

I’m going to Phoenix to visit my brother in a few weeks and I want to rent a bike and ride some of the canal trails while I’m there. This will be an upright one. Since I usually ride recumbent and haven’t done that many miles in an upright lately, my hips aren’t as tough as they need to be, so I’ll be riding some more miles in an upright in preparation, just Rides like I did last Tuesday, Friday and yesterday.
