Tom Hanks finally talked about his daughter Elizabeth Anne (EA) HANKS ‘ Explosives, “The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road.”

In the book, he offered a very personal view in his difficult childhood, giving insight into his emotional complex relationship with his late mother, Susan Dillingham, whose stage name was Samantha Lewes.

The “Forrest Gump” star expresses pride in the openness and approach of EA literature, noting, “This is pride because, I think, he shares it, he is very open about what the process is.”

EA HANKS opens about painful childhood and his mother’s mental health struggle

In her memoir, EA reflects on a difficult and turbulent childhood that was formed by her relationship with her late mother, Susan Dillingham, who was known as Samantha Lewes, who died in March 2002.

He also remembered a strange conversation and haunted with him. “He spoke to me about dozens of miscarriages and how I could join my brother in Limbo Abadi one day,” he said.

EA HANKS remembers the moment of love from her mother

Apart from the pain and instability that he experienced growing up, EA acknowledged that his mother also gave the time -when the care and effort he continued to remember with love.

He wrote that his mother “drove me throughout California to a horse show at an impolite hour,” a movement that shows the commitment and in -depth support for his interests.

Ea also remembers more light and soft moments, sharing that her mother will “cut the cake dough for my friends to sleep and let me color my hair every color I want.”

Finally, EA moved from her mother’s house and left to live with her father, Tom Hanks, his wife Rita Wilson, and two of her stepbrothers, Chet and Truman Hanks.

Disneyland is an anchor for life and heaven for EA and Tom Hanks

In his memoir, he pondered the deep emotional meaning held by Disneyland in his life, not only as an amusement park, but as a constant presence that grounded him throughout his journey.

“Disneyland is more constant in my life than any house that I have lived in,” he wrote. “I have spent thanksgiving there. I have spent Christmas there. I have spent more birthdays than I can count there.”

However, what really strengthens the meaning of Disneyland for him, is when he shares there with his father, Tom. Their visit created valuable memories that continue to shape their emotional relationship with the garden.

“I cannot separate my emotional relationship from Disneyland from my emotional relationship with my father,” he explained, “Because like many other California daughters, I have spent a lot of time in Disneyland with my father, and because one day he will die.”
